There was a special concert held at the Tata Theatre N.C.P.A. Mumbai on the 12th of June 2004 to celebrate and commemorate 25 years of Talat Aziz as a singer. For this special occassion a lot of celebrities from the music and the entertainment field made it a point to attend this event. Mr Ghulam Ali the famous singer flew down specially from Lahore to be there with Talat Aziz as did Ustad Rashid Khan from Kolkata. They also sang together with him. Mehdi Hassan Saheb however couldnot make for reason not in his control. He made up for his absence by sending a specially recorded video message congratulating Talat Aziz. The Legend Lataji also sent her congratulatory message on a video as well as Asha Bhonsle and a host of renowned personalities. Jagjit Singh who had launched Talat's debut album too sent his message from London.

Mumtaz the great actress of yesteryear and Talat's old friend flew down from London. Mr Sanjay Khan with his wife Zarine came specially for Talat from Bangalore. Amongst his friends Pankaj Udhas was present with his wife Farida. Khayyam Saheb, Mr Mahesh Bhatt, Poonam Dhillon, Padmini Kolhapure, Hariharan, Mr. Amrish Puri, Shabana Azmi, Mr Harsh Goenka, Mr Dilip Piramal all known personalities in their own field made it a point to felicitate him. It was a unique concert and this has been recorded and will be released soon in October as a two CD commemorative album by Times Music.

Talat had another great concert in Mauritus where His Excellency Sir Anerood Jugnauth the President of Mauritius was present with other dignitaries like Mr. Raoof Bundhun - The Vice President, Mr Showkat Ally Soodhun and the creme de creme of Mauritius at the University Auditorium in Le Reduit.

The concert lasted for over three hours and not a single person left his seat. In fact after the concert ended the whole audience including the dignitaries gave a five minute standing ovation to Talat and his troupe of Musicians. He was accompanied by the famous tabla exponent Jeetu Shankar, Rajendra Shankar, K.Srinivasan, Akhlak Hussain and Lalit Shankar.

The next day Talat was invited by His Excellency - The President Sir Anerood Jugnauth, The President of Mauritius to his official residence where he had a informal meet with him. He was also feted by The Vice President of Mauritius Mr. Raoof Bundhun and the Minister of Art and Culture Mr. Motee Ramdass at a reception.

A special concert was held at Hyderabad, the home town of Talat Aziz in the series of his Silver Jubilee celebrations. It was a trip down nostalgia lane for him. He had specially invited Mr. Vithal Rao and Mr. Hakeem Ragi the veteran duo ghazal singers of Hyderabad who had literally seen Talat since his childhood and had taught him the first ghazal and songs.

The event was attended by the glitterati and congnocenti of Hyderabad like Azharuddin and Sangeeta Bijlani, Mr. M V. Krishna Rao the former Commissioner of Police, Mr. A. K. Khan the Addl. Commissioner with his wife amongst a host of others including Talat's childhood friends Mohd. Alam Khan and Iqbal Patni the famous upcoming poet.

The show was sold out in advance and the proceeds were donated to Concern India Foundation for the welfare of poor children who needed medical care.
